Plasminogen

Plasminogen is a plasma-derived product infused intravenously that replaces a missing protein in people with plasminogen deficiency type 1. Plasminogen helps the body break down and clear lesions that can form in different areas, including the eyes, mouth, and ears. Since plasminogen does not stay in the body forever, it must be given on a regular schedule to help keep lesions from coming back.
